Gerald I. Shulman, M.D., Ph.D., the George R. Cowgill Professor of Physiological Chemistry and professor of medicine and cellular and molecular physiology, and an investigator of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, was the recipient of the 2013 Clinical Investigator Award from the Endocrine Society and the Sir Philip Randle Award from the Biochemical Society.
