Walter F. Boron, M.D., Ph.D., HS ’78-80, professor of cellular and molecular physiology, has been elected president of the American Physiological Society (APS), effective April 1999. The APS, made up of nearly 10,000 professionals in science and medicine, is a nonprofit society devoted to fostering education, scientific research and the dissemination of knowledge in the physiological sciences.
