J.G. Collins, Ph.D., professor of anesthesiology and lecturer in pharmacology, and D. Helaine Patterson, director of medical school public information, are among seven individuals selected to become the first fellows of Connecticut United for Research Excellence Inc. (CURE). Dr. Collins was recognized for his efforts, inspiration, leadership and vision as a past chair of CURE and his role as founding father of BioRAP, a life sciences learning publication for middle school students sponsored by CURE. Ms. Patterson was recognized for her public relations advice and editorial oversight on many CURE publications.
