Eighty students at the School of Medicine matched to residencies around the country this year. Internal medicine was the most popular career choice, with 19 students pursuing that specialty and another four entering internal medicine/primary care. California was the most popular destination, with 16 students headed for the Golden State, most of them to the Bay Area medical schools, Stanford and University of California, San Francisco. And 13 students chose to stay in New Haven for their residencies.
