Tamas Horvath, D.V.M., Ph.D., chair of the Section of Comparative Medicine and director of the Yale Program in Integrative Cell Signaling and Neurobiology of Metabolism, received the 2012 Ernst Oppenheimer Award in June, one of the Endocrine Society’s Laureate Awards. Horvath’s work over the last 15 years has played a key role in the development of the currently accepted model of neuroendocrine regulation of energy balance.
